Dallas police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck a motorcycle officer on I-35E early Monday morning, leaving a trail of wreckage before abandoning their vehicle nearby.

The Nissan left the scene of the crash. It was found abandoned less than half-a-mile from the crash. As of Saturday morning, police have not said they've identified or found the driver.
