One musician can play multiple musical roles at once 🤹‍♂️ This is nothing new to pianists, who sometimes play 3 or 4 (or more!) lines at one time, say in a Bach Fugue. Drumset players get it…a drumset is basically a one-person percussion ensemble. In this piece Niagara, that we wrote in 2016 for our album Paddle to the Sea, Dave plays drumkit and bass synth at the same time, while Rob plays 2 lines on the vibes and a 3rd part on the tom tom.
